Walk/Bike to School Day was a huge success! Thank you to Bernadine Del Rio and Jasmine Trefren, our Walk/Bike to School coordinators, for an outstanding job organizing this event. We had well over 120 participants. It was great to see so many families walking or biking to school, including our principal, Mr. Hall!!! Way to show your school spirit everyone!!! And congratulations to our five winners of the Target gift cards. All in all, it was a great morning.
The Harvest Festival is just three weeks away and help is needed. I have been asked by our auction chairs to resend a request for donations for the auction. If you know of any businesses that would like to donate or be a sponsor, please ask. If you own a business, please consider donating. This is our one and only fundraiser. If you have any questions or ideas regarding the auction, please contact Julie Orme at firstname.lastname@example.org or Rachel Ford at
email@example.com. No donation is too small, or too big, for that matter. This is our only fundraiser and the money we earn goes back to our school and our children.
We are also in need of volunteers to help with the Harvest Festival itself. If you can spare an hour or two, maybe you have a teenager that needs service hours, whatever time you are willing to share, we will gladly take. So please contact Tacy Torres at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more about volunteering.
For those of you that have ordered spirit wear you should have received those orders. If you have not, please let me know so that we can get it taken care of. Don't forget that Thursdays are Spirit Days, so show your Madera spirit by wearing Madera Blue.
Music started this week with Ms. Cariker. Please ask your child(ren) what they thought of it. We would love to get some feedback on it.
If you have any questions, ideas, concerns or compliments, please feel free to contact me at any time.
As always, thank you for your gift of time and support for our school, children and the PTA.
